Join BVU in our mission to inspire volunteerism across Greater Baltimore through our newest initiative to mobilize more than 500 volunteers in service projects, led by people just like you!
As a BVU Service Ambassador, you will have the opportunity to harness your leadership skills to empower teams of volunteers. Join us for this completely FREE program by attending an introductory training. We welcome you to learn more about BVU's Service Ambassadors Program.
What does the training cover?
The Service Ambassador training workshop will teach you how to motivate and engage small teams of volunteers in projects that benefit our community. BVU will provide you with the resources necessary to identify a meaningful service project, utilize your professional leadership skills and create a memorable team-building experience for you and your friends, family, and/or co-workers. This training will also cover how to communicate details of a project with your volunteers ahead of an event, manage logistics on the day of, and evaluate what you and your team are able to accomplish together!
What does BVU ask of a Service Ambassador?
Our goal for each Service Ambassador is that he or she is successfully able to find and complete one project in 2011 that mobilizes 10 volunteers or more. Service Ambassadors have the option to team up with each other to accomplish a larger project, and are certainly encouraged to lead multiple or recurring projects if they wish!
What support will BVU provide to Service Ambassadors after the training?
By joining our Service Ambassadors program, BVU will provide you with an individual coach to support your volunteer leadership experience. Along with coaching support, BVU will also provide opportunities for you to participate in leadership workshops and networking opportunities with fellow Service Ambassadors.
